Replacement dial came in - the zipper and scarf are much nicer, while the line between the feet is faint, but better than non-existant.
Glad the process isn't taking very long. Who does the dial swapping, a Service Center?

It would be good to know if those who bought it recently have had the problem resolved. Or is the issue still ongoing? ☹️

Surprisingly I just got the message to pick up the Snoopy today.

Before dropping it off at OB 15 Jul:

After pick up just now 26 Jul:

So it took 11 days for the dial replacement.
Anyway hope others find this useful!
What difference am I looking for?

You really need to read the thread to understand what the issues are. Two issues are the feet and the zipper, but there are others, too.

I received mine from a Boutique about two weeks ago and, to my eye, the dial appears to be the same as the original version as pictured at the beginning of the thread.

As mentioned before, there are lines missing at the zipper and right foot.
Bonus for me was that the replacement dial still has pretty well defined stars.

When the zipper and foot are present all of Snoopy's lines are more distinct; head, ears and umbilical cord.

Yeah, while there is some variation between early Snoopy and later Snoopy dials in terms of blue enamel thickness, the dials with missing details seem to have the least amount of overall visual clarity. It’s really hard to argue that the initial dial without the zipper there looks any good. Even the replacement dial has perfect stars if that was a concern for you with the older dials with the thickest blue enamel lines, where the stars were a bit diminished.

I feel that if you’re on the fence with this, you should just get it replaced. But if you really don’t care, that’s of course your call.

Previous dial vs new dial that completed service after ~6 weeks.

Mine looks more like your first picture, but the definition of the blue vs silver is very clear on mine. Very faint zipper line and no foot line. I'm fine with it.

Omega won’t let you have 2 dials so you’ll need to decide which one you want

Lines are weak on that example, I would have it replaced if it was my watch. But it's your call.

Torn, yes it is nicer with stronger lines and zipper present but at the same time , I doubt many snooopys exist with the error dial

That dial isn't an error, it's a poor execution of what it should be. Those light lined dials with missing features will not attract a premium in the future, imo. Probably the opposite, a future buyer will want a clean, well defined dial. Just my take.

Let's say there are 10,000 Snoopy's out there, how many owners are on OF? A hundred, two hundred? Whatever it is it is a small percentage of owners, most are happy they have a Snoopy and aren't aware, and don't care, if some dials are better defined than others. Collector's naturally fret about these sorts of things. So only you can make the decision if it's acceptable to you. If it is, great, enjoy it for years to come.

Hello,

First sorry for my not so good english.

I came here for some advise about my Snoopy.

Few months ago i finally got the call from my OB to come pick up my Snoopy. After few days i notice the missing zipper so i send it back.
It came back one month after and i have now the same dial as shokwaav, so with zipper but clearly not as "deep" line as it should be. Honestly i try to persuad myself that i am happy with that but deep inside i am not happy with this result.

Do you think i should send it back again ? Does Omega can refuse it ? Before going back to my OB i just want hear your advise !

Thanks all.

Well i am not able to make it right now but i will send it once i can.

Maybe it was not clear but the before was same as many others here, zipper line and foot are not present, and the new one is same as shokwaav sent, so line are present but not as deep as it should be !
