There are plenty of that model available, so do some research on prices.
Are you sure about that? While the 2012-2017 version is certainly available used, I haven’t seen any new ones for sale in quite some time. When the 2018 model was introduced, not everyone loved the new design and higher price. As a result, there was a heightened demand for the previous model, particularly on the grey market.

I recently purchased a 10 year old SMP Bond for $3100 only to find out that I also needed a $750 service. So, to me that sounds like a pretty good price.

I meant that there are tons of these available used, bit I admit I wasn’t precise there. While there may be a few still around offered new, I still don’t think it is worth the price the OPs AD offered it at, even if it comes with the new 5-year warranty. I have the blue model and it’s a nice watch; I bought it new for $3200 just a few years ago from an AD.

My point was, the OP shouldn’t be afraid to bargain with the knowledge the AD is likely trying to get rid of old stock at an inflated price. I stand by that.
