Nah don't think so, it looks completely original to me. Anonymous watches were not uncommon in the 1930s and even 1940s.

·This is a tiny (3"x3"x1.5") Parisian travel alarm clock c. 20s-30s. I love it. I had to watch the Radium Girls once I bought it and started reading about radium and timepieces.
