I bought the 300M on rubber in October 2018. I really like it but I noticed just this weekend that the floating keeper is tearing! I try to be gentle with the watch but maybe I haven’t been as careful as I thought I’ve been. I contacted OMEGA service but I expect that this may fall under regular wear and tear.

Man that strap looks like it's been through Basra

Plenty of tutorials on you tube. Just get a decent tool, and tape the lugs the first few goes and take it slow. It becomes easy after a while. I switch on my speedies and tudors weekly with no issues.

You UK? What tool you recommend? Also does it use spring bars same as the bracelet?

As far as I know, it does use the same bars but I could t be sure. Ask the ad when you order. I use a generic bergeon one. For bracelets rather than straps just make sure you get the fine fork ones. Most places sell them. About 10-15 quid. Some like the tweezers but I could never get them to work. Just do one side at a time and apply a little pressure to the lug once the bar is out to keep it there and move to the other side.

before you do it, take any rings or jewellery off and do on a mat or towel to protect the watch.

i am self learner, and while I butchered a cheap watch first time as practice I can do it in my sleep now. Practice makes perfect mate.

No worries - drop me a line if you need anything. I assume you are fairly good with your AD? Get them to give you a 5 minute tutorial mate. Best way.

Just spoke to an OB so strap plus buckle is £255 didn’t know it was that expensive and “a royal headache” to change
