Slow Server

I visit 10-12 sites on a regular basis and had been waiting for the new update bugs to be resolved and see how things shake out(GOOD JOB!).

The only thing I have noticed on my end, as opposed to before the update, is a slight lag (and sometimes a moderate loading time) for a page to load.

I've checked on my end, and my speed up/down does not seem to be the issue.

I wanted to mention this to see if others have experienced this and if anything can be/will be done to correct this. I do not experience this lag on my other visited sites. (If I lived through baud 16kbps dial up I can survive this馃槺)

Hardware/Software all up to date but the lag was occurring even before the outlay of cash to Apple.

I thought it was because Australia is Upside Down and all, but the lag was not an issue before and Australia was also all Upside Down.馃槑

Whaddayasay, Tex!
I've noticed lag also and it seems to be more prevalent when loading picture heavy threads. My routine is to log in, click latest, browse titles and then usually go to Ash's "Recommended Vintage". That is where I noticed the lag but just blamed it on file size and my Commodore64.

Brother man, I've started to believe the Aussies got the right end up!

I was thinking one night last week that maybe Australia had became unmoored and had traveled a great distance from Earth, hence the lag.

But, I do have to admit that thought was after a couple of Bourbon and Branch refreshments....and by morning I was a bit more rational in my thinking.

If there's specific pages or threads that seem worse, let us know and we'll investigate.

Omega Forums is entirely based out of a large data center in Texas and has fast links to everywhere throughout the US and rest of the continent. Everything feels a bit less snappy from here in Queensland, so it's sometimes harder to tell if things are optimal unless we actually test it out.

Also, we do still have some performance issues to address, it's never really a finished job.

I believe it is all pages I connect to here in OF, I get a download progress bar to about 20% instantly and then a 2- 5 beat lag then an instant connect.

Possible a giant rattler chewed through your cabling if your servers are in West Texas, and for sure, any "on-site" technicians are at the strip bars in Midland/Odessa.

I'm in Texas and have not noticed any slowdown in page loading speed, but if the servers are in-state I guess that is expected.
