Just got this in from the Bay. What a nice little skin diver. The movement is an ETA 2452 that’s double signed by Venus and Ollech & Wajs. Case might be from Squale…?

Squale branding was often on the dial. What does the caseback look like?

This is what I thought. And aren’t most Squale cases of this shape 38mm? This Venus is 36mm. Upon closer inspection inside of the caseback says Ollech & Wajs, so perhaps they offered a similarly shaped case.

That answers it, then. I really like the tritium hands.

Yes, it's a very charming watch that has looks well beyond it's price point.

Added a mesh bracelet to it, kind of flashy for my tastes. Hope I warm up to it, although, it does feel of the period. Thoughts?

These are tough to find bracelets that fit The case profile as it’s not dead strait but has an upward curve. That mesh is about as good as you’re gonna get.

Yes, you're right. I think one could modify end links for a Pogue, which I plan on trying, but this straight lug mesh should do for now. It is supremely comfortable (Watch Gecko brand BTW)

Gorgeous. I just landed myself a Duxot, same dial as yours, but mine has a larger typical skin diver case. I really like the sweep hand on yours...unfortunately mine is a replacement.

Cool!
Shame about the replacement second hand though, just love the dial and the lollipop hour hand.
Also yours don't seem to have a lumed date window like mine does.

How big is the case on yours? Mine is about 36mm excluding the crown which btw is signed as well as the bracelet 😀

I'm going to search for that original diamond tip sweep hand, it's just so cool. Case on mine is 37-38mm, so a touch larger. I've seen a variety of handsets used on these Doxas, despite very similar dials. I can see that the T SWISS MADE T on yours is placed a little differently.

Last gasp from Benrus in their former life.

Lots of personality there, very cool. Does this model have a name or reference? Looking at the typeface used on the BENRUS logo I'm guessing this is early to mid 70's?

Yup, 70’s, They called it the Deep sea diver or something like that. The Belforte version is the one I see more often, but this one popped up with the Benrus name so I had to grab it. I know @WYO_Watch has had a few of the Belforte ones and may know the proper name.

I have 3 of the Belforte ones including the rare Lip148 powered electric one.

But not a single one has any name. Closest thing might be that they called the Delrin case version the "Sea Diver"
