Does anyone have any recommendations for a vintage inspired (or actual vintage) diver or skin diver under or around $200? I’ve got my eye on a couple but want to know if there’s any other suggestions. Can be mechanical or quartz. I know invicta pro diver and pro diver 1953 are decent mechanical options in this price range. I think a bright dial or bright dial accents would be cool too (orange, teal, yellow, etc). I’ve been eyeing the seestern sub300t, spinnaker fluess, orient ray 2, and some timex Q models, some Dan Henry models, and considering an invicta pro diver possibly just due to how cheap it is. Looking for something cheap but good looking to take on vacation, that I won’t care if it gets banged up, lost, or stolen. Also doesn’t have to be vintage diver/skin diver if you have other suggestions for a fun dial or case. I’ve been recommended ratio, Sheffield, and a host of Chinese microbrands such as watchdives and addiesdive. I’d like it to either be a vintage inspired diver, or have a bold dial, but ideally have both. I’m going on vacation to Scotland and London, so I want something that I can bang around and not worry too much about and not worry too much if it gets lost or stolen, but ideally won’t be stolen. Any help is appreciated.

I just picked up a Citizen Promaster Fujitsubo “barnacle” diver off EBay for $400 and love it.

It’s a re-edition of a 1970s era Citizen dive watch that famously washed ashore in Australia covered in barnacles but still working:

The case is titanium so it is very lightweight. I’m not a fan of the bracelet (the clasp is too large), so I wear it on a NATO strap.

Not exactly a skin-diver style, but it is arguably vintage-inspired AND will be 1000x better than any Invicta!

Another cool retro-inspired piece that is a little more than your $200 price point t would be a Bulova Oceanographer.
