That one is being sold by a dealer with a big IG presence who does weekly ebay auctions. His stuff always goes way over what they should.

Yeah, he's well known here. I follow him on IG too. has good stuff. But yeah, goes high often.

This was long overdue for a crystal polishing so I wet sand it this morning. I’m super happy with the result!

Just arrived
I’ve seen a few of those dials and if I’m honest, never really liked them in the ebay listing images... but seeing this in shots like yours, I actually really like it! Looking good!

Hi just got those yesterday, both produced in the 60s in France with Swiss cases & movements :
Aurore one is equipped with A.Schild 1882 and the Silvana with an ETA 2472.
I'm waiting for new straps to go with them.
I'll take better picture later on 😀

Thanks here it’s after some crystal and bezel cleaning, now the seconds hand is stuck, well get to that during the service. Some scratches left, might leave them is part of the history.

Interpol Cockpit on Tropic2000.

Tibac(?) in good order but a busy dial, and it badly needed a clean.

I have two of these (the Tibac) bezels new old stock if anyone is interested.

2nd "Super Submarino" in this thread after this one

New arrival this week. A crystal polish or replacement will transform this one. Much better than pictures portray.

Strap is just the cheapest 'Tropic type' I could find on eBay for now. My old eyes deceive me on the 12 o' clock end but the flat cut off is quite jarring at 6.

I was quite surprised by the 'golden' inserts in the Bakelite (?) bezel upon arrival but this seems to be fairly usual.

A quick forum search of "Submarino" only brings up one other owner so far @8505davids
https://omegaforums.net/threads/super-submarino-case-maker.105120/#post-1376337
As @noelekal Google search in that thread shows "Super Submarino" was a model name used by multiple small brands using this case and dial; with variations on dial colour, day or day/date and sometimes lollipop seconds hands.

La Rochelle day/ date example (recent eBay listing)

Not many more hits on other watch fora I've checked either.
#supersubmarino only has about 100 posts on instagram; many aren't watch related and a couple of watches are heavily repeat posted.

As an aside, is there any history on the start of red date wheels being used? 😎
Was it just a 'fashion' thing that got a flogging in the Sixties?

Some lovely watches on this thread. Here is my late sixties Accurist Super Water Proof 300 (original bracelet). It has had a service + new lume. I am not planning on putting the super water proof promise to the test :0)

Here are a couple of mine. Not sure if they're Skin Divers or not. One of 'em says Professional right on it so that's gotta tell ya somethin'...

Fair enough...but until I can afford a Sub as a daily beater, this one's it!

My Savoy Aquamatic , I’ve tried searching the web a few times for some information about it , But pretty much drawn a blank & I won’t be testing either it with water or magnets . I never wear it & should let it go .

I kid with the Invicta shame, it’s like making fun of your friend riding a moped- you just have to.
They make watches under their own name- they are not trying to deceive anyone. Some of their watches are in the style of other watches and they do have some original designs (although some of those designs- my god!!😲). Some of their vintage pieces are very nice watches (different company then) and they currently own Glycine- so they get major cred for that move. Several watch tinkerer I know started out tearing apart Invictas and doing sterile dial & hand mods- so a good starting point to learn the hobby for little money.
