2nd "Super Submarino" in this thread after this one
New arrival this week. A crystal polish or replacement will transform this one. Much better than pictures portray.
Strap is just the cheapest 'Tropic type' I could find on eBay for now. My old eyes deceive me on the 12 o' clock end but the flat cut off is quite jarring at 6.
I was quite surprised by the 'golden' inserts in the Bakelite (?) bezel upon arrival but this seems to be fairly usual.
A quick forum search of "Submarino" only brings up one other owner so far

@noelekal Google search in that thread shows "Super Submarino" was a model name used by multiple small brands using this case and dial; with variations on dial colour, day or day/date and sometimes lollipop seconds hands.

Not many more hits on other watch fora I've checked either.
#supersubmarino only has about 100 posts on instagram; many aren't watch related and a couple of watches are heavily repeat posted.
As an aside, is there any history on the start of red date wheels being used?
