Hey hi everyone

Does anyone knows if this grand luxe bracelet can ever be resized without doing a surgery with a goldsmith?

Is there a better option here?

Here’s my new find. 😀

Simply love the watch. Still so much value especially with the recent surge of gold price!

Any advice or help, guidance or life hack on this will be extremely welcome!

Cannot advise you on your query, but your new find is very nice.

I am out of style in this day and age of the popularity of the large, stainless steel tool/field/casual watch, but I like attractive vintage solid gold watches really well, enjoy wearing the ones I have and enjoy admiring those featured in Forum posts.

That's a lot of gold right there in your new Grand Lux Constellation! Pie Pan with arrowhead markers is my favorite vintage Constellation style so when it is rendered in gold it is a most appealing combination.

I guess, there are links with a hole at the side, where you can push a steal pin through to open the bracelet and remove a link, if there are two links to open.

Found this thread on a search. Sounds like resizing it smaller involves a goldsmith and surgery to the bracelet. Making its bigger doesn't happen since finding extra links is rare. Hope this helps.

Look at this Grand Luxe ref 2988, on the left there are two links with a pin, so you should be able to get one link off. On the right its not!
(I know the bracelet is worn...)

In my Grand Luxe Special ref 18782 I cannot remove a link, but the clasp has springs, so I put a little piece inside to open the spring mounts and get up to ~2 cm.

Ha, both mine have these, but never noticed. No idea if it's for adjustment, though. Like your adjustment idea💪

At the moment, March 2026, I find 9 Omega Constellation Grand Luxe
for sale at C24, so not so rare these days:
  • 4 with leather strap (3.8 to 7.9k€) and
  • 5 with 18k bracelet (8,4 to 19k€).
The cheapest with bracelet is a nodate, otherwise I would immediately buy, though its worn.

The bracelet in gold today, melt price for 18kt is around 12k alone! Less the labour, you still net a tidy profit with a free watch !

Thanks for this. Guess it’s probably can be adjusted bigger but not any much smaller. 🙁

"March 2026" its a while ago....
As I said: "The cheapest with bracelet is a nodate, otherwise I would immediately buy, though its worn." I did not buy it, as I am not a gold dealer but watch collector.
Right now June 2026 is a Grand Luxe with leather for 6k€ in C24!

Sure? That would mean ~130g in 18k. Sounds more like the weight of the whole watch.
