Those look a little cheap... But also kind of fun! I like them too.

Not loving these. The sunburst blue they did was a triumph

But these matte flat colors just seem a bit cartoonish

Yeah, isn’t that true!

omega jumped on that bandwagon. now Sinn.
On the watchuseek forum I saw a Ball in an ice blue dial. Looks like they jumped on too….

I, for one, am thankful that Rolex invented color. The world was so bland, and no watch company had ever - ever - produced a watch with a color other than black, white, or silver, before Rolex. Even my palm fronds were gray before Rolex came along and invented green palm fronds.

Thank you, Rolex, for inventing literally everything including color.

(Yes, after hearing it for the 50th time, I admit to being a little raw at the idea that everyone is copying Rolex. There were watches with different colorways before Rolex.)

Quick follow up; maybe everybody is following Oris? They released several bright primary color watches in the Aquis and Big Crown lines before Rolex or Omega. Then again, maybe Oris is following Seiko. Or is Seiko following Swatch? Swatch was probably first to market with bright, primary color dials in the 80's.

If you had told me in 1993 that the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would have such a strong influence on horology in 29 years... I would have laughed nervously and tried to never speak to you again.

Rolex just copied the company that was redialing their watches with colourful colours. So they took them to court. Saying they couldn’t sell them as Rolex watches…..made them stop then copied them releasing colourful watches

Didn't mean to rile up the anti-Rolex crowd. Should I delete the post?
