Is there any further news on the above? I had originally been told early September by my local boutique and now they are talking about late October. Elsewhere I've read about problems getting the Snoopy lume right, not wanting to spoil the latest James Bond LE launch, but wondered if anybody on here had heard anything?
And no, I do not intend to flip it. Three months of reading this site, researching Speedmasters here and elsewhere, has led me along the path of very happy ownership of a new Moonwatch (to keep Snoopy company when he arrives), and the pleasure of owning and appreciating finely made mechanical watches.

Snoopy watches are actually in the process of allocation now! but unfortunately it sucks that they're sold out completely

Very nice watch. Love the lumed Snoopy, and very cool number, 1970 reversed 😀

Yeah, that's awesome! @repoman, was that a choice or chance?

The lume looks amazing. Do I dare say, it looks better than my GSOTM

Hard for me to photograph - both beautiful in their own way - the illuminated crown on the GSOTM remains a neat trick.

For novelty the Snoppy wins but for legibility in low level lighting the markers on the Grey seem a bit more effective.

Thanks for the comparison. Snoopy definitely has the novelty. Where as the GSOTM has more presence.

I just got mine! Number 0772! I got it thanks to the Forum. When I saw some of the folks here talking about delivery, I called and was told they had gotten 2. One of the two was for someone who reserved a specific number and the other one could go to someone on the list. They called one or two of the folks on the list and no one answered so I was invited to come in and pick mine up. Love this watch!

Congrats and welcome... nice score, being in the right place at the right time I'd say!!

Just thought I'd shed some light on what I heard today while I was in the LA area visiting another boutique about this watch.....I learned a couple things about this process/situation (This manager seemed very confident in what he was saying, hard to believe he'd make this up):

1) The inconsistent deposit/full payment preorder situation....isn't actually as inconsistent as it seems. The watches are meant to go to "serious" buyers with the full deposit down first. These people also tend to get some perks like some selection of numbers they want out of the limited batch.
2) There are people who don't have all the funds initially but are serious about the watch, they put down a partial. These people get called after the full deposit people.
3) Then there are the people that say "I love the watch, give me a call when it comes in." This would be the last priority on their list. These guys get called as soon as the people that paid $$ pass over for one reason or another (usually not the # they want)
4) Here's the interesting part, he seemed quite confident that I would get in because of what's happening right now with this particular piece. It seems all the boutiques are submitting a waiting list to corporate of serious buyers (people they deem serious, not by deposit/payment since they can't take anything anymore as the allocation in the US is completely sold out ). This manager says that they will allocate more units from other countries that necessarily selling as well/bigger markets. He told me it's an unique situation but he has good confidence most of the wait list folks should get it (since he said most boutiques got "serious" buyers only by the handful).

I believe I'm on 2-3 of the lists between this boutique and 2 other ones closer to me. So hopefully something happens for me. Whatever the case, enjoy the piece gents, it's amazing from all the pictures and should definitely be a keeper.

Yeah-I got mine at Southeast Plaza (Costa Mesa/Newport Beach). Several months ago, I asked about the watch and the associate really tried to get me to pay in full. I ended up agreeing (begrudgingly) to put $500 down. I was asked if I had a number in mind but cautioned that I would get mine faster if I didn't. I also went into the store at least once a week to follow up. They were not actually going to call me but I kept pestering the boutique. Today, they had one in and apparently there were 2 people ahead of me. They were nice and had me hold on while they called the other two people who didn't pick up so they let me come in to get it. I was also told that so long as I had made my deposit, I would get one. That said, this watch sold out within a day or so of Art Basel. The watch is amazing as is the presentation/box.

I guess I should hold off on buying another watch, and just have funds ready for some miraculous reason they should call.
