Beautiful textured watches. I’m really loving these vintage Omegas. So many configurations! Great thread here.

My most recent waffle dial pick up:
Super clean! Why do some dials turn yellow while others look like newfallen snow?

Good question. I think it’s mostly due to the amount of moisture that’s gotten into the watch, but they seem to age in so many different ways that there has to be other factors.

Here’s another of mine with some slight aging. This one also has more oxidation on the hands.

Dear Gentlemen,
I have to introduce myself, my name is Stefan, I am a OF member from germany looking at your posts since a lot of time - learning so much. Its a real joy to read here. Apart the hughe competences shared I like the peaceful atmosfere and harmony showed here, testimony of interaction of real cultivated people. If I think about the aggressive and often inappropriate style practiced in forums in germany... Anyway, as the first contribution of a new member to this forum whithout pics is abolutely unacceptable here is what I have shot in October 2018 on the sales corner of the german Uhrforum.de. The seller was Maunder Watch Co. in Guildford, Surrey, UK. I payed 1.478 Euro for it, shipping included. Its a 2782-2 SC with ca. 354, date ca. 1954. I didn't know grails like that still appear and I couldn't believe I found one, as a black Honeycomb bumper with a untouched dial and a sharp SS case was far beyond reach for me. I think the hands are not original as they are flat ones, but they are in great shape, correct length and looking gorgeous, so I think they will remain. Any thoughts from you specialists ? Sorry pics are from the sales corner, I am not equipped to make macro shots until now. Cheers Stefan

No longer in my possession, but damn I miss it!
14K gold case with a perfect linen dial. She sure was a stunner, and photos doesn't do justice at all.

EDIT:
Just found another one of the lost ones.. Equally as flawless! 🙁
Oh well..

... and as I am in a flow posting, here is my second honeycomb, a 1956 Seamaster with a rare two-tone gold/yellow dial, bought that one 2018 from Omega Enthusiast from Canada. With shipping and 😀:censored:😀 customs that gem cost me average 1.700 Euros. Not cheap but its really gorgeous. Hope the pics are visible, its only my second post in such a forum...

O orario
went bad. will post better pics....
Very nice watch. The pictures will show better if they were individual pictures instead of joined into a long strip.

it has that one small "beauty dot" on its face as all baroque beauties had... (denie it was applicated by me. Time and moisture were doing that for me...)

Hi Stefan and welcome to the forum. You have bought a pretty watch there! I was also interested in the Connie and was in communication with the seller at the same time as you were, only the faded dial/print and, as you note, flat hands, stopped me fully committing. None the less I find it a very attractive watch with the black waffle and rose gold furniture. Enjoy! 😀
