I may have posted this 600 before. This time, it is wearing a no-name bracelet which I personally think suits the watch - and I hope you all do too, because I was tired and on my way to bed, and as the last bracelet switching, I just wanted to try this. Little did I notice that I swapped the bracelet from a watch with drilled lugs and I failed to spot the shoulderless spring bars 🤬 so now it is a permanent installation.
As mentioned in many posts, it often pays off to buy from a lousy listing photo. This is no exception.
I sourced a complete set of original hands from eBay.
Hope I might be forgiven for showing this one yet again. I inherited this one in pieces, about 45 years ago. It was totally dismantled, and the parts all mixed in with a bunch of ‘50s vintage bumper Omega parts in a lozenge tin. I discovered the dial in 2018, and that piqued my interest. I sorted through four or five dismantled movements to find the rest of the calibre 355 (date at 6:00) movement parts. Everything was there except for the case. Made a running watch out of the pieces, acquired a case, and this is the result.
This unique two tone wave dial 2577 Seamaster came back from service recently. I’ve only seen one other that I can remember, and that dial was repainted unfortunately (same texture and markers, though).
