What a great thread! How enjoyable! An enjoyment only slightly diminished by the presence of people who can't stop going on about their Rolexes and Speedmasters and pretending that they are, really, inexpensive watches.

Moving back to the real world for just a minute, this just came my way. It keeps time well and where the dial looks in any way discoloured, that discolouration looks more like a camaflauge effect on the ring.

Please, I don't expect anyone to have heard of it, so don't ask to see the movement!

There is a good reason for not showing it.

"Inexpensive" is pretty subjective, especially since the OP's watches have significant collectible value these days. Here are some watches I purchased relatively recently for $200-$600 USD. I think they are all quite nice in their own ways, and certainly they reflect my personal taste just as well as my more expensive pieces.

Not many 2's here 😗

Here's my pair, neither came in above £50 but I really enjoy them(well, the CWC is my most worn watch and I'm sure most here are familiar with it by now) .

Company's 25-yr work anniversary award Wittnauer quartz, and the Omega Constellation quartz bought new around 1990 (wish I knew about Speedy back then ::facepalm1::).
These are my 2 DAGA (Do Anything Go Anywhere) watches, probably worth about $150 each on a good day ...

From my 5 & 3 year old for Fathers day...mind you it’ll be the only quartz to grace my collection

Love the Tissot and Lip watches. Vintage elegance.

These are my 2 favorite inexpensive watches. The Timex is inexpensive in every way. It was a cheap every man watch, meant for utility. But, I love the dial and it is very legible at just a glance. I bought it as part of a watch lot at a rate of .74 cents per watch. I have since sold off all the other watches from that lot and I now have a "profit" in the watch.

The Hamilton Rodney was purchased in a junk/antique shop for $8.99. So, it is a very inexpensive watch also. If this was a horse, you would say it was "rode hard and put away wet". The lugs were worn by metal band ends and the dial has wabi sabi, but I do like to wear this with a brown shirt. The 2 tone quad dial is killer.

For me, these two watches are proof that our passion doesn't have to be about "I spent the most", or "my watch is a better brand than yours", but instead about what catches our eye and moves us. For me, by going out and finding these in person, at an auction and a junk shop, hunting them down and finding them in person makes them more special to me and makes them "warmer" than simply showing up for a big price from a cold eBay search. Sorry, you just wanted pics and I went off on a rant.

Of the current stable...

A great entry-level mil-spec watch (and issued in my birth year to boot)...

And an obscure ‘60s French diver that has stayed with me despite the odds...
