My one owner (me) Accutron from 1964. So 62 years old. Looks and runs like new. If I was asked about what might be my favourite watch, this one would one of a dozen or so favourites.

No longer mine, unfortunately.😭 in the 1980s I worked for a Rolex dealer. A mature woman and her son bought a Rolex from me, to present to her husband. A week later, the recipient came in to have the bracelet adjusted. He had worn the subject Accutron 214 watch for over 20 years. Nobody wanted it, so he gave it to me. A few years later, I happened upon his obituary. About 5 years ago, I decided to try to find the son who was involved in the purchase of the Rolex. I found him, phoned him, told him about the Accutron his father had given me, and asked him if he’d like to have it! He came for it. He was wearing a ruddy ceramic Rado! Not his father’s Rolex! Some people just don’t make sense to me. This Accutron is/was in beautiful condition. I wonder if he ever wears it.

A simple yet stylish Accutron with the simplified Bulova 2192.10 movement.

Kind regards,

My new to me astronaut. On the way to Rob in Thailand for a full service/polish. I do have a question. I’m interested in getting a Fostner Komfit band as I want the watch to be in space flight configuration. Does anyone who have one of these bands know if they rub against the case? Rob is restoring the case and I don’t want to beat it up.

Quite possibly the heaviest 14k case Bulova put an Accutron into, 38.96g. Astronaut II from 1973, hanging out with my 14k triple date Sky Chief.

An early 214 (N0, IIRC) and an AccuQuartz 2241 (later 70s). I've had the AccuQuartz for years, showed up in a bulk lot and not working. The 214 was a recent arrival (another bulk lot) and it hums. So I finally pulled the trigger and they're both on a nice Thai vacation with Rob B. Love Accutron design and can't wait to have a couple working!
