·It's natural for owner's whose 3861 has failed to come here to report it, but the many thousands that are ticking away to spec don't get a mention. I doubt the failure rate at this point is any worse than any other mass produced movement. They had a problem when they were first produced but they were taken care of a few years ago under warranty. Solid upgrade over the older 1861.

I'm sure after the 10 year mark, the failure rate of the 3861 will be basically 0. Mine failed at year 3 of ownership.
