Many members here did actually research certain models together with the Museum in Biel. Research means facts. Seachero is not a fact. It's fiction. Let's stick to the facts. " Omega lexicon from many sources... " ? What is that? Railchero is nice as well. And why not call the Omega Speedmaster automatic reduced, " Moonwatch " as well. The dial looks like it..... Don't muddy the waters. Stick to the facts and scientific terms. New members will have it easier to follow terms and time lines.

I see. So perhaps you will take it upon yourself to persuade the mods to delete all of the threads on OF referencing the nonexistent Seachero that go back to 2016? How about articles like this one: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/bring-a-loupe-sep-27 Or videos like this one:
Or the dozens of sales posts for Seacheros all over the internet on different sites, including OF? Planning to scrub all of those, are you? I’ve already conceded that the Seachero is not a part of the Omega catalog. Not sure what else I can do for you, but was it really necessary to be so pedantic about this or to ruin a perfectly good thread which obviously appealed to some OF members who believe they own Seacheros and were proud to show them? Sheesh.

« No. It is not. It's either a Ranchero or a Seamaster »
Well , we know that there are at least some 2990/96 Seamaster referenced Ranchero in the archives but without precisions as to the dial.

Here is mine , a double ref 2990 SC / 2996
The original dial needs to be restaured so I swaped with this one. Not beautiful as the ones presented here but i like it !

I also have a Seachero with a double stamped case back (2996 SC and 2990-1). The 2990 and 2996 cases are identical. The only difference is the case back. The 2990 Ranchero case accommodates a caliber 267 with a small seconds subdial and has a flat case back. The 2996 Seamaster case has a slightly domed case back to house the taller central second movement.

Now you only need a Railmaster case and a new back engraving and: Voila ! Another PAF military Railmaster ! Very nice example. ( Not a Railchero...)

Seamaster CK 2937 and Ranchero 2990/1

Damn, that 2937 seamaster is exactly what I’m looking for these days! If you ever want to part with it…😉

Wow! Those are incredible, especially the 1st one IMO, too bad some of the lume on the right side didn’t survive…
What a beautiful duo!

Lovely pair, especially the first one. What is it’s reference number?
Thanks,
Rigby

Sold this pretty much mint Seachero to another OF member earlier this year. Great buyer and it found a good new home, but I have a bad case of seller’s remorse.

It's beautifull, I would have kept it !
Well, I needed to shrink my collection a bit and I’m very fortunate to have some other very nice pieces.

I have "wish I had bought it" regret.

I find this one very attractive, maybe in need of a clean but lovely looking and the discolouration makes it even more interesting, for me, it's not mine but i like it

i thought the hands would be inlaid with lume though, the swiss made writing at the bottom looks a bit clipped off under the case edge as well but it may be the angle on the crystal rendering it just out of sight

One of my favorite Omega case design.
Not too small, simple lines, perfect fit, works incredibly well with a flatlink bracelet and low profile!
