I think the Helbros should have a PUW 1000 movement instead of PUW 1001 (with day function). Attached is one of my Helbros collection.

Nope. Landeron 4750 movement. 馃榾

Hoping to make a proper entrance with my first post on the forum. Been surfing around here for a while now, so I thought it is time to start contributing!

My first Omega & Hummer, a Seamaster f300hz Classicly shaped.

It is in NOS, full original condition and humms like a charm. Hope you like it!

Regards,
Rick

Well done! It is indeed in outstanding condition, this is a great model, and I do like the dial design of your watch.

Thank you Private_Doberman & Scepticalist!

The watch is from 1972, recently I've replaced the rubber gasket and battery, due to their age. It has barely seen the wrist, hence the condition.

Glad you've mentioned the dail design, because I've never seen this dail - which is more common in the coned model - in this classic version.

I'm stil wondering which of the Seamaster f300 is 'the rarest' in terms of production volumes. The Sub, Cone or Classical model.

Can someone enlighten me?

Speedsonic/Megasonic are the rarest I think

Of the "normal" ones, Probably the lobster version is the rarest - definitely on my wishlist but they command very strong prices. I know of a good one but it's above my budget for one at around 拢1300.

Certainly the ones I see the least for sale are the the Lobster, D-Shape constellation, 120m and the Cone in that order.

I expect you can find out at the UK specialist - www.electric-watches.co.uk

It took me a year of hunting to find a decent condition bezel. I eventually purchased a non-working example for the bezel.
If you ever go ahead with your laser engraving, please post it here!

Some of my latest "hummers" .I which the bezel where as nice as the one @Northernman s 198.029 . But can't have it all. I have an old bezel that i am thinking of having laseredged in original type. Tropic looking good @omegastar 馃榾

George Amos was a neighbor who served overseas as a medic in Patton's division in WWII. After the war, he went back to Kodak and ended up spending 49 years with the company.

I believe it was @gatorcpa who said when he saw this watch in 'What Did You Buy Today?':
You mean he gave almost 50 years to Kodak, and all he got was a gold-plated watch?

Love those dials, and the brown ones too. They make me think of Las Vegas, 1977, and big ol' Ford LTD coupes.

Have people seen the Accutron II watches? Quartz resonator instead of a tuning fork, but vintage designs and a continuous sweep second hand.

Massdrop has them every now and again. I've seen them go by twice now after only being a member there now for a few months.

When I got this watch I committed to buy before I did what I thought was an adequate amount of due diligence. The red date wheel "sold me" and scared me at the same time. I think the date wheel has been replaced. Very rare, but red date wheels are out there. I love this watch. Big.
