When I got this watch I committed to buy before I did what I thought was an adequate amount of due diligence. The red date wheel "sold me" and scared me at the same time. I think the date wheel has been replaced. Very rare, but red date wheels are out there. I love this watch. Big.
These date wheels are plastic and they are fragile, a distinct possibility it was replaced. But who cares it looks great, picking up the red second hand and Omega logo.馃憤 Nice sharp example you have...I like it a lot!馃槑

I know there are purist out there who want only mechanical movements but I think the case and dial styling of these early seventies F300hz's is exceptional.

What could one ask for a Seamaster f300 Cone? If i should sell it? Have now idea since it was some time since i bought it. Blue dial in good condition and crown up at 2 . That is rarer i think? Has bracelet with the special plate. So one can use a strap also.

This is my fourth vintage Omega and I got it in December 2015 before I joined OF. I still don't like the size of the Constellation Chronometer printing. However, it runs great.

This is my collection of different F300 . Like to add a blue or dark dial seamaster chronometer or something to the collection someday . A dark horse has nestle it's way in to the pack .
You should add this one.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

I bought a NOS cone with purple gunk on it and labels for 400 pounds from a private seller. I have seen nice ones on eBay that are asking around about 800 to 900 dollars and they have been there a very long time.

They're getting harder to find in good condition - if you sold a NOS for that nowadays I'd bite your hand off and hummers have been selling well on forums - they used to be high end and are consequently usually fantastic quality for the money. Though I agree theres some overpricing on eBay close inspection usually reveals missing bracelet, bubbling dial issues on the dark ones or that the cone graining finish has been polished.

I'd think $600 for a good early example with crown at 2 and original bracelet of that type is a very fair deal - as mentioned getting a good example of the dark dial is especially problematic. I paid $500 equivalent a year ago for a near-mint white dial example that needed a service and bracelet repair.
