Hello All,
I am new to this forum but old enough to have seen the Goldar Family from the TV show Space Giants...!

This is a fun find. Didn't know about most of these references. Pretty interesting watches. Thanks for sharing.

An older pic of my one and only. Little jealous of those of you that can hear these. Constant ringing in my ears and too much construction without hearing protection.

I always have liked the Bulova Astronaut but never pulled the trigger on one.

Cushion cases are probably my favorite of all, tho I resist buying too many because they can start to look alike in a collection. (Wrong place for that statement I realize given the Speedmaster collectors.) Only have the Seiko Turtle right now.

New arrival 😀

Omega Seamaster F300 Chronometer, ref. 198.0016, caliber 1250 from ca. 1972/73

Needs a new crystal so that and a glass gasket are ordered 😀

One of three new hummers, more to follow once the other two have been brought back to life by Paul W, this one cost less than a number six end link all in including service and a replacement crystal. Absolutely stunning piece and such great value for money

Beautiful examples fellas...🥰

Edit: Oops 😲 sorry guys, wrong thread!

...although mine does make a nice noise... 😒

..just that it’s only barking metal crickets that are ‘humming’…

I used to own this and it is one of the few watches that I regret letting go. It was a great timekeeper.

Fell in love with mine, no 344 to be found in Turkey - but I suspect it doesn't work anyway 😁

Still, it feels good to have those white Speedmaster Chrono hands on a pure display piece

Had a F300 project, case, dial and hands but not a cal. 1260 movement.
Then these NOS ESA 9162 ond 9164 came up on eBay and got a ESA 9164 to complete the watch until I find a cal. 1260 😀

Ref. 198.0031, cal. 9164 (1260) from ca. 1972-73

This has just arrived 😀

Sometimes You get a pleasant surprise.
Bought this listed as a renovation/for parts watch with crappy pictures, but I could see the case and dial looked okay so took a chance and bought it.
The gasket was gone to gum, so cleaned it up inside and outside.
So didn’t expect it to run but added a new 344 and it runs within 0 sec/day Omega Genève ref. 198.030, cal. 1250 from ca. 1972
The case is so sharp and the dial is perfect.

This one had been in my collection for over 35 years. It was given to me by its first owner when his family bought him a new Rolex from me. I recently contacted the original owner’s son, and asked him if he was interested in having his late fathers Accutron returned to the family. He was. It was almost my perfect example of an Accutron 214, in spite of it being 57 years old. My collection of hummers has shrunk to 23.

What a great pick up. You must be massively disappointed with the 0 sec/day 😎

And don’t know what happened with that reply ....

but, just bought and waiting for it to arrive, a Cosmotron GX in gold plate. So underrated and undervalued. Very happy

The dials on these hummers are amazing, IMO. I used to have one in burgundy, but the blue is much nicer!
