A chrono or maybe an SMF300?

Calendar wheels tend to be a weak point but fortunately they're still widely available.

I have a white dial cone and a Speedsonic. It's nice that hummers are still in a sensible collector's price range. I think they're undervalued myself.

As far as I know, the cone was never made with this dial. It should be from a reference 198.001. The correct hands for yours are still available.

Hummers? Got ‘em. All you see here plus an Omega F300, and one Accutron in sick bay at the moment. One of these in the case is actually a Bulova quartz 955Q model, and the Bulova Computron LED is quartz, not a hummer. Front row left, a group of Accutron 214 and 218 railroad models with 24-hour Canadian dial. Collection growing by the day.

Have just received two of my F300 back from electric-watches.co.uk , both had a date issues and got new date wheel and service. First time I use EW, very positive experience.

Took a picture of the replaced date wheel, and could find the two "bad" dates where they did not shift 😀

The astronaut is an interesting watch. Here is an article worth reading:

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/b...cia-for-pilots-of-the-fastest-plane-ever-made

Below 2 Omegas: the cone 198.012 on the left side which my father bought new in the 70s. And on the right side is a 198.001 which I think is the first f300 model made by Omega. The cone is from the Seamaster collection. My father wore the cone quite often on the beach back in the 70s.

Dear All:

I've wanted to find/buy an Omega f300 "cone" type of watch in very good to excellent condition (no repolishing), but have found it difficult to find. May I ask the good folks here if you know of anyone who might consider selling theirs?

I am flexible in terms of the variations of the type of features the "cone" f300 might have, i.e. just the date or day/date, color of the dial, etc.

Thank you in advance.

Two of us pooled our Accutrons for a recent watch exhibit. There are 36 watches in the display, two of which are quartz Bulovas. That means 31 running Accutrons, and a tuning fork Bulova Accutron quartz. Even with my less than perfect hearing, you can hear these babies from 6 feet away, in a quite room. Since this display featured Accutrons, no f300 models were shown.

I've been hunting one of those for a good couple of years now , still not seen one for sale. Love it!

Definitely on the rarer side

Mine is still one of my favourites, even amongst all my mechanicals.
