I finally tracked one down meaning I can post on this thread more authentically! It's now off for servicing so I've another wait...but at least I know I've found the watch I've been dreaming of for so long. Just need a suitable crown now.

Wow, good thread! I'll add two of my three dome dial connies - too dark for a proper photo of the 3rd.
My 2652 and my 2648:

Tell me about the dial on your honeycomb Constellation. I have the same dial on my bumper Seamaster. Very hard to photograph. It is a two tone dial, yes...darker on the minute and hour chapters/markers, lighter in the center. Here are pictures of mine...depending on the angle and the light, it can look like staining.

How about my 1952 first generation Globemaster reference 2652 (the "no name" Constellation)? Very few of these out there, especially one like this with a domed two tone textured crosshair dial and arrowhead markers.

Here's a couple. One in 18k rose gold and the other in stainless steel.

Hallo to the last 3 answers before and watches:
Do you really call these dials domed?
They have the inner minute indicator ring and the short hands of the piepan.
Though the pans are not very plane, I would all the way call them piepan.
Am I wrong? Konrad

There has been debates about this in the past.
Even Omega refer to some of these dials on the OVDB as pie pans ( but we don’t know who wrote this, when and why)

The general consensus is that a pie pan should have a 12-panel faceted dial edge.

I love these flat domes, they really look amazing in the hand.

A little aged, and with faded text.I still love it. And yes, also a two-tone!

Ok, thanks. Btw. the nickname 'pie pan' is surely not an Omega term, I think. How does Omega call these dials in their specs??

Ooohhh, what a beauty. Get a decagonal crown to make it complete - and completely irresistible.
