And with its original dial (stashed until needed again...)

Very beautiful 16518
a little more feminine in white.

Service hands on your 16520 ?

Service dials and hands in both watches. As I wrote earlier - for the 16518 I have the original dial and hands. The 16520 had a MOP dial, originally from/for a white gold 16519, when I bought it. Could not live with that. Still have the MOP but it is never going back in.

The service hands are a bit wider than the original hands and it sure helps to tell the time a bit better...

The steel ones were mine a few moons ago..(The black one originally belonged to Martin Barre, One of the founding members of prog rock group Jethro Tull) - I traded it against a Gmt Master and. Sub LV.. The gold one belonged to a mate..

Holy cow that is fascinating. Big Tull fan here used to see them every Halloween. I’d love to hear of your interactions with him, must be quite a story. As far as these Daytona’s go, I’m 99.9% sure I’ll never own one but they are a beautiful watches and I can see why they are iconic and have such a following.

Even with that, the daytona is not very readable ...😉

My 116520 K serial falls within the Panna dial range, but the cream color really depends on lighting.

In my eyes @mr.kaplan has a Panna dial 116520.
Thanks for your answer.

I’ll play with a 6239 ‘Big’ Daytona and a ceramic Daytona!

I would like to add a second 16520 to my collection.
black this time with subchapter rings with a nice brown patina..

I ask myself the question, why not rather a plexi daytona.I have other daytona but no plexi.
you have to count twice the price of a 16520 for the first plexi.

What do you think ?

Just a ceramic one here. Some stunning watches in this thread.
