And where is it now ?

I bought mine in 1989. It was new old stock when I bought it from the Rolex dealer I worked for. I sold it after having owned it for 25 plus years. I had worn it very little over those years. I have been doing a slow, gradual downsizing of my collection. I was afraid it would eventually be sold for a pittance by my estate who had no idea of its value. I sold it to a dealer friend who I am certain re-sold it. I have no idea where it is today. I had fun with it while I owned it.

Never had a chance to try one on, so I am only able to observe the hype on this model without being able to make up my own mind.

Given that I will never entertain buying on the grey market, it seems unlikely I will ever get a chance to consider one of the modern 116500LN...

Oh well... I will keep living vicariously through the beautiful pics you guys are posting here... 👍
