@MtV , I just notice that the all steel version with the “golf ball dial” came with larger minute dots?

Adding another chronometer certified example to the gang:

A cal. 352 example from that transitional period in which Omega seems to have experimented with the dial layout.
My absolute highlight are the hands with the extra large luminous inserts. Only the second hand will need replacing.

Another nice one, Matt, and I love the strap. Saw this a few days ago: 1953 OMEGA SEAMASTER AUTOMATIC | Omega Enthusiast (omegaenthusiastltd.com) Not on my radar because the price is in the stratosphere, but a really nice example of a black hobnail dialed 2577.

I've seen this and discussed it with the previous owner, who happens to be an OF member. I have my doubts about it tbh - 13.9m serial is one of the latest among 2577s, years after the ones that were produced without "Seamaster" on the dial. Happy to be proven wrong, of course.

Didn't get beyond the photos, but good to know.

Matt, @MtV , I feel suspicious about the 13.9m movement number is too late for an example without the “seamaster”, however I haven’t gone through that data.😀

Recently added 2577 with black waffle dial, text has faded a bit but its not unusual with the textured dials. Needs a new shorter second hand but otherwise have lots of charm 😀

Needs a new shorter second hand

I wonder why so many of these have the wrong second hand. Were they prone to breaking? I had the same problem on one of my 2577. It took quite some time to find a donor watch as many of 2577 on eBay and elsewhere also had the wrong second hand lol.

I thought that expert watchmakers/jewellers were able to dock the end of this style of sweep second hand.

Maybe just because it's an extremely delicate part?

Corrosion of the hand, I've seen many missing the tip or a bit more, which then gets switched out down the line

Also a configuration that’s worthy of being posted here, a black “golfball” dial 2577 with rose gold furniture.

Purchased this 2577-6 early this year. It is my first vintage Omega. Also I did not add the newer lume, it was sadly added by a previous owner.

Sorry for spamming this thread but just wanted to show how it looks after I got help shortening the second hand!
