I had a chance to bid on one of these about two years ago and folded after hitting a solid wall several times. This time I was prepared to go all in and prevailed.
The correct crown is already in my hands thanks to @LesXL. I will still have to look for the correct second hand. If I find a cheap donor even the entire set of hands as the minute hand has lost all the lume (alternatively a relume job). Of course I wouldn’t pass on this one for these minor issues. Special thanks to Mr. Golfball aka @MtV for letting me go for it (add kiss emoticon).
Great and informative thread. Just bought this beautiful stainless steel Seamaster 2577-11, from 1952 according to the serial number. @MtV if you need the serial number for your table, let me know😉

Of course, every input is welcome - serial and caliber (351 or 354) would be great to know 😀
Here is my 18k double references 2577 & 2520. Powered by a 351, serial in 12 mil.
This one’s interesting as it doesn’t fit into the pattern of the list: 12.52m serial is ~700k earlier than the earliest 2577 with Seamaster on the bottom half of the dial that I know of. Admittedly, the double ref might make a difference. Lovely case by the way! Dibs, if I may. 😁
