A rather unusual example without any minute ticks / dots:

Oh waow. Stunning. What’s the name of the dial pattern? Never seen it before.

Nice one Matt, @MtV 😁

Please note the identical dial and shape of the hour markers. However, the one I showed is the ‘chronometer graded’ version.

Got this for $400. All things considered how badly was this watch redialed?

What maked you think that it is redialed?
Is it not?

Why is it redialed reasons

1st, the Omega word and automatic word look a bit smaller, and thinner, but font looks correct
2nd, the dial is unusually very white, almost flat white in texture, and for a 1950 watch, without patina it looks unlikely it will stay as white
3rd, the lume looks a bit new, and very intact, also the lume on 12 4 6 9 are round, wherein I saw photos online which are square lume
4th, the hands lume are too clean and looks new

Why is it not redialed reasons
1st minute marker are evenly spaced
2nd, hands are correct in length and shape
3rd, swiss made font looks original

what do you think?

Good morning everyone.

New here and very happy to be there and follow you. It's very informative. I learn a lot. Thank you.

My watch, tropicalized, that's why I like it very much and it's unique among hundreds of thousands! Caliber 354.

Thank you for joining. However, we are an English language forum. Many people here don’t understand French. I have taken the liberty of using Google Translate to translate your post. I hope I did this correctly.

I really like the style of you watch. I have seen that pattern on the dial before. Very nice, original piece.

Take care,
gatorcpa

What I like is the story, the experience of the watch. 70 years on the wrist of another, or several others then mine! Incredible life of an everyday object that, by the particularity of its dial, finds itself unique after having fulfilled its role as a time keeper for so long! It's up to me today to use it, to protect it so that one day it can relive on another's wrist. So to respect it, maintain it and transmit it and that perhaps it can still excite its next owner. Time would not destroy but would better!

My £294 gamble/punt has finished my 5th 12hr night shift with me. 2577-5, ser 12014… First pic is the advert, which barely shows the hobnail.
