I’ve got one on the way and as I comb the internet for hands/on reviews, I’ve found there isn’t much out there.

To keep me going while I’m waiting for mine, I’m hoping some current owners can share pics of theirs and let us know what the ownership experience has been like so far 😀

The main attraction for me was the thinness of the manual wind calibre and it doesn’t hurt that it’s very nice to look at. Here’s the one I’ve chosen (pick from Fratello):

Still very much in love with this watch. Definitely getting the most wrist time. Here’s my review from a few months back:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-speedy-57-arrived.147324/

Fantastic write-up! Thank you for sharing that. Have you found that the crown action has loosened up at all over time? My 3861 Speedy seemed to be less stiff after a while.

It was difficult deciding which dial variant to go with… the blue would be my second choice, I think.

I ultimately chose the sandwich dial because it made the watch lean a bit more to the casual side, which tends to be my style.

I love the choices that Omega gave us this time around.

Crown/winding action has loosened up slightly, but still stiffer than the 3861 I had. I think that’s a function of the movement and the twin barrels, but that’s also incredibly watch-to-watch specific, and I may just have one that’s slightly tighter. Not a big deal; this isn’t a difficult watch to wind, just not as smooth as the 3861.

I’m still Team Blue, but I love how the blue and green are just different colors of sunburst, but the black and the red are entirely different dials. The black sandwich is awesome. I hope it shows up soon for you and will look forward to your review 👍

I have a couple straps already that I have in mind for the Speedy once it arrives…

(left is by Bulang & Sons and right by Veblenist):

This one is by Ivan at Two Stitch Strap:

The leather one is by David Lane Design and the nato is by A. F. 0210 straps

I’ll report back when I have a chance to install the all 👍

I've already Seen the one from Bulang & son but in a darker Brown, I think this Brown if too light.

Thank you! I really like that one… it’s got a very 70’s vibe that I enjoy. I can definitely recommend it 👍

I picked up the same, black sandwich dial, about a month or so ago, and absolutely love it. Looks great dressed up for work and in casual clothes. Mine's keeping time well within spec. Winds like a dream (still a tiny bit stiff, but because new). Bracelet is super comfy. Not personally planning on any straps for it, since I adore the look and feel of this bracelet, but I could see trying something like a Bulang & Son siena brown with it. Post picks when yours arrives!

I try to stay away from a direct match of strap colour to lume colour as I think that can be a little monotone... but rather I like to go for lighter or darker tone variations of the lume colour...

It's the previous, automatic version, but Bulang has a good strap guide to give you some ideas:

It’s arrived! Early impressions are excellent. The bracelet is near perfect… ultra-comfortable, and only one or two additional steps on the micro-adjust would make it the best bracelet I’ve owned.

The lume colour is a little darker than I remembered, but I’m liking the look more each time I look at it. There is a tonne of depth to the dial and the polished handset lights up when looking at it from an angle.

Movement-wise, 24 hours in and it hasn’t lost even a fraction of a second. The crown action is ok, but not great. The winding is smooth enough, but there is quite a bit of resistance. Not at all as nice to wind as the 3861. Pulling the crown out to first and second position is a little on the murky-side… especially the first position.

The chrono action, on the other hand, is outstanding. Crisp engagement and stop and reset are smooth and confidence-inspiring.

Size-wise, the case is near-perfect for my 7ish inch wrist. I disagree with those who say it wears smaller than the moonwatch, though. The straight lugs and longer lug-to-lug length give it a bit more presence on the wrist, but I’d still recommend it to most wrist-sizes.

Overall, a home run by Omega.

Right there with you on the home run. And the accuracy is freaky. I know there is some luck and individualization involved, but mine runs +0.5 on my wrist and -0.5 on the dresser. So if I wear it several days in row, it’s dead perfect +/-0.0. Crazy.

Anyway, awesome watch - Enjoy!!!

I thought I might have a genetic defect, since speedmasters never caught my attention. Then I saw these ‘57s, especially the blue dial. I really like and want one. I am now open to receiving any Speedmaster as a gift.
