No doubt about it, it's better looking, cleaner, than a Submariner. Case. dial, bracelet, the whole 9 yards. Have to say the Oyster bracelet is a classic though. I got a Datejust 41 for my 50th last month & now the 2254's got a fight on its hands some days, though it always comes down to one or the other. My Speedy is feeling very neglected at the moment!

@fskywalker That鈥檚 a great combo those 150th and electric blue dials really pop against the dull titanium. Interesting touch with the white gold inlay.

Thanks. The 150th comes from factory with a 18K white gold insert, but it is the polished version as shown here (from the web):

I like more the less shiny look of the 18K white gold insert found on the AC / non AC SMP variants, so a simple insert swap did the trick 馃槈

@alam .. Only mechanical service once, and like I said it's due for another .

馃憤 thanks - FWIW, my interest was for another data point regarding a [routine] service interval...

@alam Well every 5 years with normal day to day use. Replace mainspring and gaskets at a minumum, additional replace the HE and crown . On my next service also the rotor bearing will be replaced as I can hear it rattle. Luckily I can choose.

Love mine, when ever I have this watch in rotation outside the save I need to force my self to wear my other watches from time to time. It鈥榮 just a perfect fit for me, hight/weight and size wise.

Absolutely the same situation for me. I will put others in the rotation on purpose, but when this one comes back on it stays on for a month or two

My trusted 2254 wich I鈥檝e worn for 10 years straight and now gets worn every now and then. Though every time I put this on I keep thinking I could wear it for another 10鈥檡ears straight no problem I鈥檝e put it on a Omega calf short strap(only one wich will fit my tiny wrist and keep the deployant clasp centered) . For me personally this is a very strong contender for that only watch . But then I look at my other Omegas and that thought quickly vanishes .
A good combo!

Just succomed to a 2264. Currently sat on a black hirsch as I'm not a nato fan, and it didn't come on a bracelet. Anyone got a bond bracelet or the speedy style to sell??

Congrats! There is a seller at Watchuseek named David Evans (user name is Exelonman) that sells very often Omega watches and accessories. You can find his listings through Watchrecon
