How long is a watch like this last expected to last without servicing or after one time servicing after purchasing if it is found in quite good condition? (Such as the few posts above me on this page)

Another example of 14396, great condition and only 10th example of this reference I have seen.
Pity seller is looking 4.5k USD. If I didn't already have an example would be very tempted.

Adding another variant to the thread which, I think, we haven’t had here before. It’s a 168.001 with a brushed finish to the dial:

Delighted to joint the Jumbo Club 😀
168.001, cal 561, serial number in 24 million range.
PS: How hard do you think to source a correct thin decagonal crown for this ref... Thank you in advance!

Congrats!

Depends on you - are you ok with a service item? They're easily accessible via eBay. Do you want the period-correct flat foot logo? You'll have to open your wallet a little further, 100$ or slightly more is not uncommon. They, too, are out there and it might be an item that could be found with a WTB here. Either way, very realistic to find one and it shouldn't take years.

These are really great and I think I found my next Grail lol.

Is the 14396 / 505 the only no date example? These of course seem the hardest to locate. At least it'll take a while for a purchase in this case!

So a bit of unobtanium on that one. I suppose a 14396 will have to suffice.

Good luck - also a very hard ref to find though!

Hopefully some day one of them will grace my collection. I see the database is very limited when it comes to these in general.

I went pretty crazy with my collection this year, so I'll post a WTB next year lol. I'm sure eventually someone will look to move theirs on to a new loving home.

Also joining the jumbo club, with this quite rare crosshair 14777. The crown is yet not satisfying, also in need of a original beads of rice 19mm bracelet.
Lovely mint dial, serial number 19million range. Case in fine and sharp condition! Dreamed a long time of this one as the 14393 a bit to small for my wrist.
