Sorry, I mean the side of the case......this is one of my jumbos 14395. My other gold capped 14396 and both 14777 have this also. The pic looked like the side case was not gold capped like non-jumbo connies........

this is a 14777, the case between the lugs and the sides are gold capped.....

Yes, all of the goldcap jumbo constellations, all references, I've seen are like that, unlike the smaller cases.

Got the extract back for my latest jumbo 14396. I get an archive extract for all my new additions.
Interesting to see the dial referenced, first time I have seen this.

Did you send pictures or mention the dial in your request?

Please notice that all three of mine (ref14777) using the same hour-markers pattern.

Hello all, this is my 168.001. Serial is 1968XXXX. Would like to know which diagonal crown should be correct for this connie. Thanks a lot for your help here.

I also wonder about the crowns. Some have regular crowns and others have decagonal on the same reference. Is it date of manufacture driven?

Crowns are changed from time to time when the watch was serviced which complicates things. There is a very good article on constellation crowns in Desmond's blog. I have also seen in general the thick decagonal crown dominates the 14395 and 14396 examples while the thin decagonal very common with the later 14777 reference. There are examples of other crown designs that may have been original or service replacements. For a 168.001 I would go with the thin decagonal.

Just saw this 168.001 on Chrono24 with endlinks 17. Quite rare I suppose, was this bracelet combo the option when purchased new in the 60s?
