Thoughts on this piece that was just sold on the Bay? Looks like a pretty good piece?

Looks more of a double date than a triple date with that washed away date chapter ring...for me that's reason enough to pass

    I
Interesting. You mind sharing where exactly? Chapter ring yes it’s barely there. All else seems ok, though I was a bit suspicious of the GALLET font as I seldom see them in these format on a triple date.

I was thinking of bidding but decided against as I wasn’t quite sure

I'm looking for a pusher for the "Jim Clark" and I will have the hands professionally relumed.

    Both house the EP40-68 movement.

Just picked up this Gallet ‘Snow White’ in very nice condition. EP40 and looks like early 60s. If anyone ever finds a list of serial numbers verses manufacture years please do get in touch...

Won this in an auction. It hasn't arrived yet so these are auction pictures. It looks pretty good, good case, lume, hands and clean movement. Needs a crystal. Pretty pleased. I didn't know anything about Gallet until I stumbled on this watch so am doubly pleased at having discovered another brand as well as a new Jim Clark racing theme. Chronographs were already an interest so this broadens both my interests and education. This watch seems rarer than the speedmaster 321s that are readily available, even though crazy expensive. Feeling pretty, pretty, pretty good today.

I will check with my local watchmaker for service but am open to suggestions.

This feels like the brand to get into right now. How long before Hodinkee readers burn out on UG and Heuer and they have start stoking the flames of another brand to keep things fresh?

    I now have four . . .

    The two Multichron 12H:

    An MC-45M "Snow White"

And one I have not worn yet . . .

    A 1916 or 1917 (based upon the Borgel hallmark) Gallet Electa . . .
