New acquisition here. Really enjoying the "Halloween" bezel, big crown, trapezoid cardinal indices, red highlights, square lumes, and chunky, asymmetrical case. These came in a bewildering variety of colours, brands, and sweep hand variations, and can still be had for quite reasonable prices, though ones in excellent condition fetch an increasing premium.

Had my 1521 four or five years, always enjoy wearing it. Not sure if you can get it on the light blue rubber strap anymore, nice smell of vanilla! Have the Squale mesh bracelet aswell.

Here are a few that I have owned. Note that the Herma is not marked Squale, but in a Squale case.

Another Blandford Ocean Diver in a Squale Supermatic 250 case. I was really delighted with the condition of this one on arrival--the case is just razor-sharp. I didn't even realize these Supermatic 250 cases had such chamfering until this came along. Turns out it had one owner who bought a Rolex at the same time. He wore the Rolex and just left this beauty in a drawer for nearly 50 years before finally selling it--even came on its original Tropic Sport strap, and with the original spring bars, no less.

The same watch (as an Ausal) is on the front page of this excellent article on the history of Squale divers: https://www.the-squale-collector.com/squale-guides/

Apparently, there's a small but lively community Squale collectors who call themselves "Squalistas." Now that's dedication!

I had one until recently a burglar took it🙁

Yeah, it really is🙁 Lately the feeling creeps into me that I miss it when seeing pictures of rhe model. The case really stands out and even more combined with the dial colour.

Squale is one of the only modern watches that I am drawn to. I like that they aren't massive, and that they have kept many of the same design ques from their older dive watches.
