Hey there, looking at possibly buying a 2943-2SC and came across this thread in my research. What do you think of this one? Any chance it's been redialed or taken from another watch?? Thank you!
@skdresser

Its always best to start your own new thread if you're going to throw another watch into the mix.

The seller's pics really aren't great but if you compare the script/fonts to any other 2943 (or any other Constellation for that matter) you will see the discrepancies between the watch you posted and the real thing -especially in the word 'Constellation'.

oh yes - and a lesson learned, dealers can be mistaken or just plain deceitful.

@Peemacgee, thank you for referring to my watch as an example.

I have also included a close-up photograph of another reference 2943 from my collection, which is the only waffle dial I have encountered in this reference. 😀

Please note the differences.

Hi everyone.
A slightly tongue-in-cheek question for the Omega experts here:
If a Constellation was originally purchased through the Air Forces Europe Exchange (AFEX) by a serviceman back in 1960 - can I technically start calling it a “military” Constellation?
Or am I about to get myself into trouble with the purists? 😄

I'll post more pictures later, as I don't keep the watch at home. This watch is largely thanks to Desmond and his blog, where I get my inspiration. I found out there that black dials were very rare for ref. 2943 and were custom-made only. I even tried to recreate the shot from his blog
