··Steve @ ΩFI think more paint chipping or the paint moving and getting into the movement is a valid concern.
Hate to suggest sending it for service for a brand new watch you just got, especially after one replacement already.

Jesus...this is hilarious.
Modern buyers...never get into vintage, your panties will be perpetually in a Gordian Knot.
Thanks. Not sure if i find it equally funny. This is my first watch and genuinely dont know if its acceptable for a paint bit to be inside. Im no expert so sought help here. If buying 2nd hand I would be more relaxed but wasn't sure with new. Maybe one day if i keep on collecting watches ill find the time to find it hilarious at the daft new watch owners with concerns and worry. 😉

I am sure I could find a "flaw" such as this in 90% of all watches sold. 🙄
Maybe imperfection rather than flaw?
EDITED. I sounded a bit a grumpy but wasn't! Honest! I wrote about a white speck right in the centre by the hands at the 9pm. You can also see a portion of the luminova missing at the 10pm approx in the centre. I have put a red circle around it to make it easier. My worry is that if this is luminova coming off it could either get worse or just stay like this. Or it could make its way into the watch parts. Is this something that is common in Omega?
Apologies cicindela, I'll pop the Seamaster on eBay and wear the old £5 digital Casio. I'll keep my opinions to myself, just dipped the old toes in for a bit of involvement and actually post something.
When I saved up to buy my first "proper" watch I admit to feeling a bit disappointed by having to adjust the time when it wasn't keeping perfect time. It has since settled in and is now near on perfect and this forum was a great help in understanding the workings of a mechanical watch!
Sorry I may be somewhat uneducated in this but feel if you spend this amount on a watch you should be 100% happy. Outside of these forums this is an incredible amount for a wristwatch, no matter how small the "flaw"
