·I found this watch in Europe and I am considering buying it. It would be my first vintage watch and one that I would intend to wear. The dealer claims that the dial is all original. It is advertised as solid 18k, 38mm, Cal 265, and the following:
Material: 18ct. Redgold case with snap back, silvered dial with baton markers, leatherstrap.
Mechanics: redgold plated movement with lever escapement, bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, manual winding.
The price is under $3000.
I've been looking for one of these for a while. Does it look authentic to those of you who are more expert than I? Are there any specific questions I should ask? Or concerns that you might have? Thanks.
