Should I buy this 2620??

I found this watch in Europe and I am considering buying it. It would be my first vintage watch and one that I would intend to wear. The dealer claims that the dial is all original. It is advertised as solid 18k, 38mm, Cal 265, and the following:

Material: 18ct. Redgold case with snap back, silvered dial with baton markers, leatherstrap.
Mechanics: redgold plated movement with lever escapement, bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, manual winding.

The price is under $3000.

I've been looking for one of these for a while. Does it look authentic to those of you who are more expert than I? Are there any specific questions I should ask? Or concerns that you might have? Thanks.

Looks like a redial

I would be much happier, with half that price !

The dealer claims it is original but given its age it does look in remarkable condition. What in particular makes it look like a redial to you?

Thanks.

How does that logo look to you? To me it looks suspect. I'd cross reference the dial with others like it- if you've been after it for a while hopefully you have some examples to compare it against.

Actually, the logo does look funny to me, but when I compare to to other pictures it is similar. Of course, it's impossible to know if the pictures I am comparing it to are original.

I found a similar one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/362013733620?rmvSB=true

Not sure if this one is totally correct either but seems more so than yours. Maybe some of the more knowledgable here can help out when they get time.

*edit- the last 3 photos in the slider are much more clear than the first 3

How about putting up a WTB add on this forum? State your requirements and your max price and see what comes out of the woodwork. I should say that for around $2500 some pretty interesting stuff should show up!

Nice, but gold plated, not solid gold 🙁
