Well my under the influence purchase may not be legit but I did get the date right. Tomorrow is my birthday but I’m at the point where that is no longer something I celebrate, shorter of breath and one day closer to death

I had just copied that link and was going to post it. Everytime I wore that watch, that song would be playing in my head.

I’m getting surgery tomorrow morning. Depending on how strong my pain meds are, I might finally have something to contribute to this thread.

I am certain I am not the only one who hopes your surgery goes well. And that your recovery will be speedy. Speaking of Speedy, if you don’t have one, it may help speed your recovery if you were to buy one. 😁

Godspeed and sending positive vibes. I had a major back surgery at the end of ‘19 and I was scared shitless.
But yes, the drugs are good…come to think of it, I did get some seriously nice watches during recovery which I don’t remember buying 😉

My apologies for the lack of watches in the post (or if I missed that someone posted this earlier), but this thread reminded me of a comedic New Yorker article from awhile back titles “The Ambien Cookbook”. Found a link that’s not behind their paywall. I thought it was hilarious. YMMV

A whole bag of kettle corn the other night. Found the empty bag on the kitchen table the next morning and debris on the arm chair in the living room

This is why, despite never having been able to sleep very well, I refuse to try Ambien. I know most people don't have problems, but I am 100% positive that if I ever took it I'd eventually be found flipping burgers in Staten Island or something like that 😒

I have to admit, I buy my hard pretzels by the case as only a couple places carry them and I hate grocery shopping. I do like the crunch factor.

Last year I developed a kidney stone which required two procedures to resolve. The kidney stone itself was excruciatingly painful and the procedures to remove it weren’t much better. Long story short, I was on Percocet for a time to control the pain and that’s when this happened:

I don’t seem to recall anything on the prescription label warning about purchasing expensive Swiss watches as a possible side effect. 😲

It is. The build quality is amazing, including a display caseback that highlights a pink gold rotor in the shape of the JL logo. It is the epitome of understated elegance and runs consistently at +/- 1 SPD.
