Literally missed out on a purchase by 1/2 day.
Had a white dial SMP300 in my cart Tuesday night but had to confirm with my accountant first and by Wednesday morning they were out of stock and then completely removed from the site!
Hopefully they come back for Black Friday!

Sometimes you have to act first and ask for forgiveness later.

Haha, I hear ya.
It was my fault, I was moving money around between accounts and was hoping they'd be on sale on Black Friday.
Had I known they'd pull them completely I would've bought it immediately.
No worries though, just means I have that money available to spend when I'm in the Caribbean in 2 weeks.

Either they will be on around midnight central time, or they are gone forever. I remember Tag Heuer was a brand they used to carry that disappeared suddenly.

So glad I said screw it and acted quickly.

My original plan was to wait for BF to maximize savings.

I sure hope they come back I was already planning on my next one.

Customer service said: "At this time, we have not been advised if they will be restocking Omega."

Me: Do you mean in time for the holidays or ever?

Customer service: [see above]

I would guess that they have had a lot of calls because it sounded like reading from a script.

Other Swatch group watches are still on the site, Tissot is 20% off, Hamilton are 32% and Longines is 28%. Still some good deals to be had.

Since Omega is continually drifting upward in image, price, availability and with generally smaller, or no, discounts at the retail level it would seem logical for them to make the decision to squeeze off an outlet like AAFES when it comes time to renegotiate their agreement. They might keep Tissot, Longines and other lower tier makers, but not Omega. That's just reading the tea leaves from 1,000 feet.

On a different forum someone emailed Omega and this is what they wrote:

"I wrote omega and said they are still selling them via the exchange so I am not sure what the issue is."

I think Omega responded that way because they are still SHIPPING Omegas for all the purchases made during the sale last week.

Apparently Omega dropped Jared from their AD's , sources citing that Omega didn't want to be next to Citizens, Bulovas and Casios instead they want to continue moving upscale like Evitzee stated.

In my region, Jared has looooong been out of selling Omegas. Close to two decades, I think. An AD is almost two hours away from me now. Now they are cutting off another avenue for me. I'd say it was poor business but I spent the four hours driving to get that new Seamaster recently so . . .

But you can still get a Rolex? Even used, which I found odd.

I forget the name of the company but it is an outside vendor that refurbishes Rolexes. They used to sell them inside of Navy Exchanges but they have been on this site for about a year or so.

They are over priced and lousy condition. Beware

Yeah, definitely buy them in person. Seen a massive difference in condition and quality of the "restoration" but the they're all priced as premium and generally over priced.

The used rolexes for "sale" on the exchange site are sold through a different vendor; would stay away. Military PXs used to sell new Rolex, though as Rolex shifted from being a 'watch brand' to a 'luxury goods status symbol' with designed scarcity, this practice ended (in the 80s I believe). Hard to bolster your elitist image when any grunt or jarhead with hazard pay burning a hole in his pocket can join the club. Anyway, I hope Omega continues to sell through the exchange.

Unless someone knows for certain that AAFES has been cut off, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. They frequently go out of stock and disappear from the online catalog, only to reappear later.

I’m concerned because of the timing. No Omega watches on the site since before Black Friday. Still nothing leading up to Christmas.

I talked with a Manager regarding my order and they said the Omega's being on sale for weeks was a pricing mistake and was not supposed to be 20% off in the first place. This is apparently why Omega took all of their watches off the site.
