·I am watching the following listing and see a huge number of bidders with no/little feedback.

Are there other signs of an auction being run up by shills? What is the strategy? I would suppose, it's to put in your max bid and hope for a favorable outcome.
These are likely the sellers who relist and claim the winner did not pay.
