Bids are up to nearly $7k, from experienced bidders. Are there some valuable parts that I'm not seeing? It might be entirely fake based on what I can see in the photos. Even the bracelet looks to be aftermarket. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-1655...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Maybe fortunately there aren't? Here is the result for seller's (other) items: https://www.ebay.de/sch/nallu/m.html?item=264248431392&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Zero, at least for me.
Look up Rick from “Pawn Stars” video on spotting a fake Rolex. Rolex are sticklers for perfection .. if it’s not perfect, it’s fake.
I think the bezel came from a 1957 Captain Midnight watch. And don't get me started on eBay sellers who put "Steve McQueen" in the title......
I have not the best experience reporting watches to ebay, personally. Will it work if this one is posted in the common fake thread here?
ebay is good with their money back guarantee, if it is indeed fake (90% sure here) they can simply file a chargeback and usually are not required to send it back since it is a counterfeit item and that is against the law to send through the mail.
Apart from the case and crown which I don't have enough photos to judge, everything else appears "not original". Shill/fake bidding perhaps?
I appreciate how the counterfeiter didn’t take the time to glue the magnifying Cyclopes dead center over the date wheel. This off-centered look really counter balances the Dremel tooled bezel number engravings. Amazing.
