Funny. I was reading a article about the person who is responsible for the clocks in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and he is saying never wind a clock counter clockwise because it can damage the mechanism.

In most U.S. states, at 2am Sunday Nov. 4, watches will need to be turned counter clockwise (watchwise) for standard time. I don’t think this will create much wear on the mechanism.

True, but if patient, you could also move the mechanism forward to the desired time.
