Setting the date, manually

I recently unboxed my new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M. I didn't know about the proper way to set the date (pulling the crown out to the "2" position) at the time, so I just spun the time forward by about 5 days until both the date and time were correct. Did this cause any damage to the movement? Just looking for piece of mind at this point.

Cheers.

You can sleep soundly. What you did was perfectly alright.
