Setting time backwards question

Today when setting the time on my SMP 300 I accidentally went backwards about 15min very close to midnight when the date was already moving over. When I noticed that it was pm and not am, I immediately stopped and went forward. Could this have damaged the watch?

No. In general, it's good to avoid using a quick-set date function when the time is near midnight, but I don't know of any watch where setting the time backwards or forwards is a problem.

Though to be sure it didn't work out to well for that Time Travelling chap in H G Wells's book.

I know there's one popular movement that it's a 'no no'. Valjoux 7750??
Either way, I always adjust the time forward.

No reason you cannot adjust the time backwards on a 7750…
