Service dials versus original ?

There are many topics on dials, dial variations and ones that have been re printed, restored etc where we look for giveaway clues shared by those with experience or a trained eye that would either confirm or eliminate factory originals.

What I have not found after relentlessly researching the web, is a thread or review on "service dials" which would also be a good educational guide to be able to differentiate them from non service dials. .

Anyone who has depth knowledge or has images of service dials, please share to enlighten any literature on this! I believe that others might agree that it would make this a nice topic!!! 🏆
