For those who might not know, one of Don Draper's watches on "Mad Men" was a black crosshair dial Omega Seamaster DeVille from the 1960s. There are plenty of articles about it (check out Hodinkee!), and it made several appearances in Seasons 5 and 7. However, many people don’t realize that the one he wore was actually a redial. So, most of the black gilt Seamasters you see, especially crosshair DeVilles post the Mad Men feature.
But not this one!
This is an Omega Seamaster DeVille ref. 14770 with the original black crosshair dial.
Condition of the watch:
Dial: Original gilt dial in average -> good condition, aged evenly, with all text and prints clearly visible.
Case: 34mm (without the crown), unpolished, and has some hairline scratches.
Crown: Original Omega thin scalloped crown, correct for the watch.
Movement: Omega automatic cal. 562, with the serial number dating it to 1963. It was just serviced in September 2024. Movement pics: It comes with aftermarket straps, buckle, and plexiglass.
Priced at $1850 shipped and secured.
For payment, I accept Wise, wire transfer, or crypto.
Please note, I don’t accept returns unless the item is hugely misrepresented.
Feel free to check out the images as they’re part of the description, and let me know if you need more!
Thanks!
