To each his own i guess. This forum has an interesting philosophy on sales posts. I like it.

It includes having 3 photos of the watch you are trying to sell - you might want to check that requirement more carefully. Oh, and not use a potato for the photos too.

Well, compared to other "selling platforms", at least on this forum the type & make & year of production of the watch are correct... 馃槜

Edit: year of production on chrono24 is mostly given as Unknown

It鈥檚 very tricky, it is important to contribute to the forum but who鈥檚 to say 200 posts from one member are equal to 200 posts from another member? I do agree with it being policed. eBay is as good as any, but be prepared for people making ridiculous offers for something they don鈥檛 understand the value of! Currently happening to me this very second..... haaaaa!

I've never used them, but Crown & Caliber may be an option as well. Since they buy the watch directly from you, it would likely be less than you would get from a sale of your own. However, if you factor out the fees, shipping costs, and dealing with who knows what in terms of potential buyers...might be worth it.

Not to hijack the post鈥攁nd I don鈥檛 think I am, since this question is in line with the OP鈥檚鈥攂ut what do folks generally think of Crown & Caliber? Do they monitor for counterfeits? That鈥檚 my biggest worry about _buying_ on eBay.

I sold an Omega to Crown & Caliber and found them to be professional and quick to pay out. They have to check out your watch to ensure it is legit then they send you a paper check. Since they are a reseller you don't get anywhere near what you paid but if you need some quick cash for an off load then it works. I have found some of these resellers will pay more for Omega's that are in hot demand but expect to take a steep hair cut on most of the models. I have found selling a watch yourself will get you at least to the break even point.

I have seen fakes on vintage pieces but I don鈥檛 think that os their target market - they appear to focus more on modern

Me neither - there's also Bob's who buys direct at LOW prices
