Went shopping and picked up a couple of Seikos in a box of tat.
Hoping that a battery and will get things going.
Nothing outrageously barn find like. But a fun picks up to pay with for a couple of quid.
Looks like a Pepsi logo on the Actus.

Bought this Seiko H556-5029 (Pre-Arnie or Baby-Arnie) sometime around 1985. It has a cool feature that times the analog second hand to the digital second readout precisely - and amazingly, 36 years later, it still works.

My 6146-8000 (1969) on its original GS bracelet:

Small detail, it is the first 1960s bracelet with solid (as in, not folded/stamped) endlinks that I ever encountered.

Surprisingly, this thing makes my Seamaster chronometer 168.024 look dated, and will probably replace it. Any contemporary Datejust feels clunky and... old compared to it.

Seiko “Daytona” I think they are referred to as.
What else for a wet day in Devon. Gotta love English summers!
