·I love my 7A28-7070, had it for 32 years, just bought a new (NOS) bracelet, I posted earlier in this thread, and was mentioning how I haven't seen as many 7A28's as I though I would. They are very cool watches, so accurate, 1/10th sec on the stopwatch, very waterproof....and quite slim and light to wear.... I do like this Mercedes one you have, look really smart.
I have not bought a watch in years but this last weekend I had to take a chance. About 40 USD of a chance. At a local auction site someone had put up a lot of promotion watches in a batch. 99 % crap and likewise was the picture. I would not have seen the auction normally but I have a standing search for "Mercedes" and got a hit on this auction.
Those of you versed in Seiko probably immediately notice the three pushers and a crown. So did I. I have a soft spot for 7a28. It is unlikely this is Seiko 7a28 and/but when I open the watch this weekend, to install a battery, I expect to see a Shimauchi V905. It is the same thing.
Got it home today and put it on a Hirsch strap I had laying around.
39mm case and 20mm between the lugs. Nice condition and it probably have not been used a lot. Enought though to ding the bezel at 9..
We will see if it gets a ride when spring turns up for real here. Had snow falling today...
