I purchased this piece several weeks ago and must say I really am enjoying it. It’s a re-imagined 62MAS but, more importantly, Seiko has given us a diver with significantly better proportions in my opinion. It’s about $1200 retail I believe but I do think it’s worth every penny.

Anyone else enjoying one of these?

I really liked seeing the pics of this, and when i tried it on i was pleasantly surprised as well. The dial colour and effect looks really great! I was only 'unaccustomed' to feeling the 3 oclock crown on a Seiko diver :D

    Enjoy it!

Thanks! Agreed on the crown but the 62MAS had it at 3 too so it’s accurate in that sense. I bought this thinking it would just be a nice sweats and hoodie...stay at home...kind of watch but I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. Mainly the case.

It is especially nice that it is only 13.2mm thick. I may need to pick one up.

Nice! The only thing I don’t like is the end link’s figment between the lugs. But I didn’t intend to use the bracelet anyway. Outside of that, I keep being drawn to it.

I’ve got the SPB147 but the 143 is incoming. These 62MAS interpretations are strap monsters, you can put almost everything to them, they simply look good. Case size is perfect even for my 8” wrist, bezel not so shiny, tasteful dial and hands and I’m lucky with the accuracy of my movement. It’s excellent value for money in my opinion, perfect daily watches for almost all occasions. I have already ordered the SPB213 (almost identical with the SPB14-series) with the white dial and blue bezel which comes out in May.

Yes 213 is my next purchase, good specs for around £1000 and not often I’d be willing to pay nearly list for a Seiko but this might be it. Hopefully the shops will open and I can see it in my own eyes before purchasing.

Well, well, well….I jumped on the SBP bandwagon. I think this watch is a no brainer for any dive watch aficionado. At 1200% less than a Sub, you certainly don’t get 1200% less watch. As many on this thread have said, “it’s a cracker” at this price point. I’m thoroughly enthused. Everything feels right. That dial and bezel are spectacular. The 40.5 mm size is perfect for me. As for the position of the winding crown at 3, that’s where I like it! It certainly captured the 62 MAS vibe!

Double down on everything you said, I bought the 149 back in October as I’d gone away from the 213. Superb watch.
