Original Vintage Seiko Quartz Moonphase Chronograph 7A48-702A NEW PRICE Orig Box strap buckle 1984 Asking $425 USD All original example of what is said to be the first Quartz Moonphase chronograph. This is part of the 7A28 family, considered to be one of the best quartz movements made by Seiko or any brand. These watches were made with metal parts and are designed to be fully serviceable. This beautiful gold reference has full chronograph functions plus moonphase complication which takes a full rotation in 29 days. Everything functions as it should. It is in used but excellent overall condition. It is all original and running great. Dial: All gold with 4 subdials, 3:00 subdial shows tenths of seconds, 6:00 subdial seconds counter, 9:00 subdial 30 min counter, and 12:00 subdial is the Moonphase with hand showing the Day and gold Moon that glides across the starry sky over 29 days moonphase . Dial in excellent condition no scratches or marks seen Hands: All original, excellent condition including subdial hands. Movement: Seiko 7A48 Quartz movement, 15 Jewels, fully serviceable, battery changed July 2022, running fine all functions working properly Case: 37 mm diameter, 41.5 mm lug to lug, 11 mm thick, lug width 18 mm. SGP gold plated case in excellent condition no evidence of wear. Stainless steel caseback no scratches. Watch has been well cared for with very little signs of use. Serial number: 411106 indicating delivery date January 1984. Crown: Setting crown at 8:00, Chrono pushers at 2:00, 4:00 and 10:00. Original, no visible plate wear, all function normally. Can reset chrono stop positions yourself- no need to bring to watchmaker- Nice feature! See youtube link below Instructions: Upper button starts and stops chronometer second and lower right button reset it after stopping. When crown one-step pulled, the other buttons set start position of chronograph second (big hand), split second (right register) and min. counter (left register). Winding crown ( lower-left) down sets the date (upper register) quickly and winding crown up sets moonphase quickly in one-step pulled position. Case has not been opened to preserve water resistance. Bracelet: Original leather Seiko bracelet and original gold Seiko Buckle included. Bracelet show some signs of wear but is intact and wearable.
